Today’s leaders need more than technical skills.
They need the ability to read cultural cues, resolve dilemmas, and lead with emotional intelligence in increasingly diverse and complex environments.
The Institute for Culture, Change, and Leadership seeks to advance psychological safety through inclusion, belonging, and cultural competence to enable strategic change for leading organizations.
Our purpose is to give rise to the strategic competencies of leaders to develop organizations beyond existing limitations, including reconciling dilemmas, while equiping leaders to recognize these challenges and turn them into win-win-win solutions.

Kimberley Barker wants everyone to: “Live Their Best Life at Work!” This is a high-stakes ideal, but she lives it day in and day out. I have watched her interact with her students and other audiences. She encourages and supports in so many areas, such as, global organizational development and change, cultural competence, dilemma reconciliation, conflict resolution, gender equality in organizations, measuring employee/customer satisfaction, business communications, compassionate-humble-lean-servant leadership, and more!
Dr. Barker is a powerhouse of knowledge and shares it willingly. I have had the privilege of collaborating with her on a number of projects and benefited from her exuberance, expertise, and willingness to help all she interacts with. Partnering with Kimberley has been one of the best decisions of my life!

I’ve worked closely with Kim Barker for the last three years in the Digital Summer Clinic internship which I founded 11 years ago. We’ve also worked together in her various career development efforts targeted at students. Kim always displays remarkable empathy and understanding to those she’s working with. She has proved an excellent sounding board for interns and has always provided top-tier advice to interns on how to make the intern experience a win-win for their employers and themselves. Kim has been a great addition to our team.
